JÓN HAMMER | PRODUCER & CEO

Jón Hammer's journey into filmmaking began in 2012 at Zentropa in Copenhagen, where he cultivated his passion for storytelling and honed his production skills. In 2017, he founded the Faroese production company Kykmyndir, which later evolved into Outlier Projects—a reflection of his ambition to create bold, globally resonant stories.

As a producer, Jón has built a diverse portfolio spanning documentaries, TV series, and feature films. His IMDb page (imdb.me/thejonhammer) offers a closer look at his wide-ranging work.

Jón has continually sought to refine his craft, participating in Berlinale Talents, Rotterdam Lab, Cannes L’Atelier, and completing the EAVE Producer’s Workshop in 2019, and Inside Pictures 2025. Alongside producing, Jón has contributed to international productions filmed in the Faroe Islands and Denmark, including The BFG, No Time to Die, Peter Pan & Wendy and How to Train Your Dragon

The new Outlier Projects signals an evolution in Jón's vision. No longer confined to Faroese cinema, the redefined company crafts original stories with a global scope — often in collaboration with international partners, and always with the world in mind.

NADIA BARBARA ABRAHAMSEN | JUNIOR PRODUCER

Nadia began working with Outlier Projects in 2024, joining as a producer’s assistant for Jón Hammer, during an internship supported by the Danish Film Institute (DFI). She has since progressed to her current role as a junior producer at the company.

She began her career in film through her work with film festivals, and in 2017 she founded the Faroe Islands International Minority Film Festival (FIMFF), the first queer minority film festival in the Faroe Islands.

Her passion for storytelling led her into film production, where she began as a producer’s assistant at Hyæne Film, gaining valuable experience across development, production, and post-production.

In 2023, Nadia made her debut as a film producer with the short film LIРVIРLIР(The Last Straw), which was nominated for a Robert Award and invited to the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival.

Alongside her professional work, Nadia is attending Super16, the renowned Danish film school as a producer, where she is currently working on her first-year film.
